Wheelchair Transportation in Greater Chicago
You stay in your own wheelchair, from the moment we arrive until you’re inside the building at the other end. First Class Mobility provides wheelchair-accessible transportation across Cook, DuPage, and Lake counties. Your driver brings the chair aboard and locks it down before the van moves, then handles the doors at the other end.
How a Wheelchair Ride Works
-
We Come to the Door.
Your driver greets you by name and brings you out to the van at your pace.
-
You Board in Your Own Chair.
No transfers. Your driver guides the chair aboard.
-
The Chair Is Secured Before We Move.
The chair is locked down and you’re belted in before the van goes anywhere.
-
We Take You Inside.
At the destination, the driver brings you through the doors and to the desk, or as far as you need. Back home the same way.

Common Questions
Do I stay in my wheelchair during the ride?
Yes. You board in your chair and stay in it, secured, for the whole trip.
Do you take power wheelchairs and scooters?
Yes. Tell us when you book, and we’ll make sure the right van comes.
How much help will the driver give?
As much as you need. Every patient is different: some riders want help only at the van, others want it from the front room to the exam room. Just say so when you book.
Can you take me to dialysis three times a week?
Yes. Standing rides on a set schedule are welcome. Tell us the days and times, and we’ll keep them.
Are you an ambulance?
No. We provide non-emergency medical transportation for scheduled rides. In an emergency, always call 911.
